MCL Medics training courses are designed by practitioners who deliver occupational health and EAP services daily. MCL Medics trains across sectors including energy, construction, policing, and higher education.
Service at a glance:
HSE compliance. All courses meet the relevant statutory requirements. First Aid at Work courses are HSE approved. MHFA courses are delivered through the licensed MHFA England programme. Offshore Medic training is HSE approved for UK Continental Shelf deployment.
Reduced liability. A well-trained workforce is your first defence against workplace accidents and the claims that follow them. Employees who can stabilise a casualty, manage a cardiac arrest, or recognise early signs of mental health deterioration change outcomes. That reduces your exposure to regulatory action, personal injury claims, and the human cost of preventable harm.
Minimal downtime. Training is focused on rapid, effective decision-making rather than extended theoretical instruction. Delegates practise the practical skills they’ll need in a real situation, building the muscle memory and confidence to act without hesitation.
Part of a wider system. Training integrates with your OH, EAP, and Critical Incident services. Your first aiders know how to escalate into our clinical pathways. Your MHFA champions can refer colleagues directly into our counselling service. The training is not standalone. It is a functional component of your overall health and safety architecture.
Offshore and Remote Medicine (HSE Approved)
Offshore Medic Certificate. Initial (4 weeks) and Refresher (2 weeks). The statutory qualification for lead medical professionals on UK Continental Shelf installations. Also: Offshore First Aid and Advanced First Aid for remote environments where professional medical help may be hours away.
Workplace First Aid and Emergency Response
First Aid at Work (3-day FAW). The standard for higher-risk environments including construction, manufacturing, and transport. Emergency First Aid at Work (1-day EFAW), for lower-risk office and commercial environments. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training — a standalone module that equips your staff to use an AED effectively during cardiac arrest.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
Licensed MHFA England programme delivered in three formats: 2-day full qualification for designated Mental Health First Aiders, 1-day MHFA Champion course for team leaders and supervisors, and half-day awareness sessions for organisation-wide rollout.
Workplace Wellbeing Workshops
Stress management and resilience. Burnout prevention. Manager mental health awareness. Sleep and recovery. Bespoke programmes tailored to your sector’s specific risks. All designed and delivered by clinical professionals.
