MCL Medics named one of the UK's Best Workplaces in Healthcare™ 2026
MCL Medics has been recognised by Great Place To Work® UK as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Healthcare™ 2026.
The list is not awarded on submission. It is built from the Trust Index™ survey, a confidential questionnaire completed by employees and analysed independently by Great Place To Work® UK. Organisations are assessed on work-life balance, job satisfaction, psychological safety, financial security and how consistent the employee experience is across departments and levels of seniority. In other words, the result reflects what our people said when there was nothing to gain from saying it.
Why this matters beyond our own walls
Occupational health is a clinical service delivered by people. The quality of a fitness-for-work assessment, a health surveillance programme or a management referral report comes down to the physician, adviser, nurse or technician carrying it out, and to the administrative and contract teams who make sure it happens on time.
That has a direct commercial consequence for the organisations we work with. Clinician turnover is one of the most common causes of inconsistency in occupational health provision: reports slow down, standards drift between assessors, and managers receive advice that contradicts what they were told 6 months earlier. Retention is what prevents it. A workforce that stays is the mechanism behind continuity of service, and continuity is what clients actually experience.
It also supports the way we are structured. Every MCL Medics service, occupational health, employee assistance, remote and offshore medical, and education and training, operates under a single clinical governance framework overseen by senior Occupational Health Physicians. A stable clinical team is what makes one set of standards across 4 service lines achievable rather than aspirational.
“An occupational health service is only as good as the people delivering it, from the clinical teams our clients see to the support teams who make sure it happens on time. We did not apply for this recognition. It came from what our colleagues said in a confidential, independently analysed survey, with nothing to gain from saying it. To our whole team, thank you. You have built a place people want to stay, and that is why our clients get familiar faces, one set of standards and advice that stays consistent.”
