MCL Medics has been re-appointed by Spirit Energy as their occupational health and offshore medical services provider, following a competitive tendering process. The renewed partnership continues a relationship that has run for 11 years and will see MCL Medics support Spirit Energy’s UK upstream operations through to 2032.
The renewed scope covers the breadth of MCL Medics’ service offering: offshore medics, occupational health services for the workforce, industrial hygiene support, 24-hour topside medical emergency cover, and onshore occupational health.
For any service provider, re-appointment following an open competitive process is the most meaningful form of endorsement. It reflects not a single moment of sales success, but a track record of delivery judged against open market alternatives. Spirit Energy ran a thorough commercial process, and MCL Medics is grateful to have been chosen to continue the partnership built over the previous contract term.
Richard O’Donnell, CEO at MCL Medics, said:
“Spirit Energy’s decision to re-appoint us after a thorough open tender means a great deal to our team. It is the strongest signal a client can give that the service we provide stands up against the alternatives in the market. Our thanks to Spirit Energy for the constructive way they ran the process, and to every member of the MCL Medics team, particularly our offshore medics, clinical leads and operational team who earned this outcome through their work over the previous contract term. We are looking forward to continuing the partnership.”
