What We Deliver Onsite
Mobile Health Surveillance
Fully equipped mobile units with sound-proof audiometry booths, calibrated spirometry equipment, HAVS screening capability, and vision testing stations. We can process large cohorts of employees in a single day. The units arrive at your site, park in your car park, and are operational within an hour. Staff rotate through in scheduled 20-minute slots with minimal disruption to shifts.
Our mobile fleet covers the whole of the UK, and we schedule around your operational requirements, not ours. For multi-site employers, we plan routes that minimise travel time between locations and maximise the number of employees seen per visit. If you’re running a construction project with a defined workforce and a regulatory deadline, we’ll build the schedule around your programme milestones.
Onsite Medical Assessments
Vocational medicals (HGV, forklift, safety-critical) pre-placement screening for new starters, and fitness-for-work reviews, all conducted on your premises. For employers onboarding large intakes, onsite pre-placement assessment eliminates the logistics of sending dozens of new hires to external clinics.
Return-to-work assessments can also be delivered onsite, allowing the clinician to see the actual workplace environment and tailor their recommendations to the real conditions the employee will return to. This produces more practical, relevant advice than a clinic-based assessment conducted miles from the work setting.
Nurse-Led Clinics
For organisations with ongoing, regular OH needs, we can embed a dedicated nurse within your premises on a recurring schedule, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly depending on your volume. The nurse conducts routine surveillance, handles walk-in health queries, supports managers with ad hoc advice, and acts as the visible face of your occupational health provision.
Having an OH professional regularly on-site changes the dynamic. Employees are more likely to raise concerns early. Managers have immediate access to clinical guidance rather than waiting days for a telephone appointment. Health issues are caught before they become absences.
Wellbeing and Health Promotion
“Know your numbers” lifestyle checks covering blood pressure, cholesterol, and BMI. Health promotion campaigns addressing stress awareness, nutrition, smoking cessation, and alcohol awareness. These sessions work particularly well in manual and shift-work environments where employees may not regularly see their own GP and benefit from opportunistic health checks during working hours.
Why Onsite Makes Sense
20 minutes vs 3 hours. That’s the realistic difference between an onsite appointment and sending someone off-site. A clinic appointment involves travel, parking, waiting, the consultation itself, and travel back. An onsite assessment involves walking to the mobile unit and walking back. The productivity saving is immediate and measurable.
Higher attendance rates. When the service is visible and convenient, people actually turn up. Off-site appointments suffer from no-shows, rescheduling, and delays. Onsite delivery eliminates the friction. Staff see the mobile unit in the car park, they attend their slot, and they’re done. Compliance rates for health surveillance programmes increase significantly when delivery is onsite.
Night shift coverage. We schedule around your operations, not the other way around. If your site runs a 24-hour shift pattern, we’ll arrange sessions that cover nights and weekends so every employee receives their surveillance regardless of their working hours.
Consistent national standards. For multi-site employers, onsite delivery ensures every location receives the same clinical standard. The same equipment, the same protocols, the same governance framework. Whether we’re testing employees in Glasgow or Southampton, the assessment is identical and the records feed into one centralised system.
Reduced no-show rates and improved planning. Onsite delivery lets you schedule specific employees for specific time slots during their shift, rather than relying on individuals to arrange and attend external appointments. The operational control is yours.
What We Need From You
For mobile units: a flat parking space with power access, close to the building where employees are based. Our units are self-contained and require minimal setup. For in-house nurse clinics: a private room with a desk, chairs, and access to a washroom. Hand-washing facilities are essential for clinical assessments.
We handle all the clinical logistics, equipment calibration, consumables, record management, and result reporting. Your responsibility is simply to schedule the employees and provide the space.
What This Means for Your Business
The productivity calculation is simple. A 20-minute onsite appointment replaces a three-hour off-site trip. For a cohort of 50 employees, that’s 125 hours of productive time saved in a single surveillance cycle. At an average hourly cost of £20, that’s £2,500 recovered per visit, before you factor in the higher attendance rates and lower no-show rates that onsite delivery consistently produces.
